Earthed

If the ocean and atmosphere of Earth were removed would the Earth be warmed or cooler?

It seems like a dumb question but the there some effect that is caused by the atmosphere and ocean that alters the temperature of Earth. The moon has lower and higher temps but it doesn't spin like Earth does. So can the average temp of the moon be compared to the average temp of Earth if an allowance is made for the effect of ocean and atmosphere?
How would the warmer day/colder night would average out relative to current conditions on Earth?

  1. Warm and dry on the day side and frigid and dry on the night side -- like Mars.
  2. Warm on the side that faces the sun and cold on the opposite side. In addition, we would get hit with many craters. And probably die.
