What happen to a planet entirely cover by water?

As we can see in our planet, there is a lot of water on it surface with their variety of deepness.

I just Wandering if there is a planet entirely cover by water, what happen to the climate if the distance to the sun, the size of the planet, the atmosphere just look like earth and the deepness of the water are almost the same in all the area . In our planet the climate are changing fast because the variety of land high and water deepness that created many different temperature and pressure?

How about if some of human move there and create a civilization. What kind of cultural live would they created, what kind of transportation, job, food, or other thing that we do in Erath?

I’m Sorry if I ask to many question.

  1. well Im pretty sure that we would have to adapt to the living enviroment and I believe it would be the same temperatures as they are on earth . I beleive we would evolve inot a mermaid kind of things you mst have gills and have fins !
  2. Well, I'm not sure if breathing would be possible without the bi-product OXYGEN that comes from plants.
  3. I suppose if a planet had only water exposed to the star it orbited, it would certainly only be able to support the evolution of aquatic life, at least initially.

But if conditions were favorable, who knows -- maybe that aquatic life might start jumping out of the water into whatever atmosphere was present. If that behavior gave them some survival or reproductive advantage, maybe they'd continue jumping and some would accidentally develop larger fins that would evolve into wings and suddenly there would be -- flying fish!
  4. This question seems a bit biblical. What happened if there would be a great flood, and there were no land left?

Anyway I don't beleive in the existence of such planet, because water is usually in the form of ice in the Universe. If scientists could find a planet covered with water they would immediately search for life there. It would be very same like the origin of life on Earth.

But if we only think about going to such planet ,like in a sci-fi, with all our technical developments and we have the same atmosphere to breathe in I don't think it would be a great trouble to survive. It depends on our fantasy. I suppose, water would be drinkable, and maybe there would be some fish or plants to eat. People could live on large ships, and maybe we could use solar energy or wind.

Of course we need other forms of life, like plants and animals, and gain materials to build the things of.

I think this is a question to move our fantasy, and the answer just depends on the circumstances that are given on this planet.

All in all we could only survive if there would be enough persons, because we won't have any medicines and such things and people should work together really. It would be close to the life of native tribes, where it is easy to die in a common cold...
