Apes Questions

What is the correct view on evolution? Did we evolve from apes, or share a common ancestor? I'm asking this question because I always saw that picture of the ape, then the somewhat evolved ape, and all the way up to a standing, walking human. I heard top evolutionists like Dawkins say that every creature alive today is fully evolved, and we didnt come directly from apes, but instead we share a common ancestor. (Such as that apes we see today have evolved from a lower form). If this is true, then would that picture of the ape evolving into a human be incorrect? Thanks for your answers.
What is the differnece between primates, apes and monkeys? I always knew that primates means our closest living relatives, right? But then when I think about it, gorilla are one of our closest living relatives but they are also clasified as apes, right? So what is the differnece between primates, apes and monkeys?
Where would I start planning a pilgrimage to Africa to see the great apes? I have been a fan of apes & monkeys for many years, thanks in large part to Dianne Fosse and Jane Goodall. I have always wanted to travel to Africa to see them in their own habitat, along with spending time with the people. I would really enjoy learning about their culture and their views on things. Thanks for your help!
If human beings came from apes then wouldnt we still see some half apes half humans? Its not like one day there were apes the next there were humans, they had to evolve right? So that means to me there should still be some half apes half humans around. If the previous versions died off then why are their still apes around? Or are you saying in a million years there wont be?
How come other animals have evolved to human life forms life apes? Lots of animals have lived on this planet longer than apes yet none of them have evolved to a human type form why not?
If we share a common ancestor with apes then how do you explain? I am wondering this little fact. Since evolutions supporters say that we share a common ancestor with apes then how do they explain the fact that human DNA is so similar to that of dirt. The Bible says that God created us from the ground, so it would stand to reason that our DNA would be very similar to dirt. And when I began doing research on this issue I found that our DNA is in fact very similar to dirt and that evolution supporters are covering up this fact.
If Evolution is wrong then why do Apes use rocks to pound and eat nuts? Apes do a lot of things we humans do. No matter how hard religious people scream and are opposed to it, there has to be some truth in we Humans evolving from Apes right? what do you think?

Where can I buy rubber mulch like the stuff in the Absolutely Apes exhibit at the San Diego Zoo? The Absolutely Apes exhibit at the San Diego Zoo has this really cool rubber mulch. It isn't the loose stuff that is commonly available, but is all sort of "glued" together. It is nice and spongy, you can walk on it in bare feet, and because it is all glued together, it stays where you want it. Anyway, does anyone know where to get this stuff? Disneyland has the exact same stuff in a playgroud in Toontown. This link is loose rubber mulch. It is not glued down and hurts to walk on: http://www.americanrubber.com/mulch/
Why are there no great apes in South America? Gorillas, chimps, and bonobos are found across equatorial Africa while orangutans are found in equatorial Asia(Indonesia and Malaysia). Why aren't there any great apes in equatorial South America? Have there ever been great apes in South America?
If man supposedly evolved from apes, then why are there still apes? Can't it just be possible that like other species of animal, humans and apes are just similar in characteristics?
Did humans and apes evolve from the exact same unknown species of primate? I never truly understood the term "ancestor" of apes in relation to human evolution. anyway, If so, how would they become a seperate species, and dont we know enough about the species to give it a name?
How can people still believe that humans evolved from apes? Darwin proved HIMSELF wrong, yet people still argue that we evolved from apes!
Harley owners, What handle bars do you think look better on a Roadking? Apes, or Western? I am customising my Roadking Classic, have changed a lot on it, also putting a low profile 21 inch front wheel on it but I cant decide which bars look better, Apes for that hight look, or Western bars for that low look, any ideas? Only interested in genuine opinions from Harley lovers, Thanks.

How is it that our own government can brainwash some of us and put it in our heads that we evolved from apes? I personally do not believe we evolved from apes and monkeys, but our science tells us that we may have. Could it really be that possible?
What are the "red apes" and how many were sighted? We are hunting the elusive "red apes" that have been sighted in these parts. We haven't had any luck yet. Suddenly, in the forest, there's one! Soon lots of our coveted objects pop out. Then they vanish again. And there aren't anyvisible. Finally, as we leave we see a shy pair hiding in the woods.

Which are more closely related to humans genetically? Chimapnzees or Bonobos Apes? Most people say that Chimps are only 3% different than humans on the genetic level but I've also heard that Bonobos Apes, also known as Pygmy Chimpanzees, are only 1.5%. Which is correct?
What does the b on the apes flag mean? When I watched the movie "Planet of the Apes" I saw the letter b on the Ape's pink and black flag. Waht does it represent.
If we were apes before we became humans, then what were we before we became apes? I heard from someone that apes were once sea-like creatures before they evolved into humans. Could this be possible? I don't need preaching about anti-evolution theories. Thanks!
Do Apes just take dumps wherever, or do they have areas where they all take dumps? I know dogs have their *areas* (in a backyard) I was just wondering if Apes did the same sort of thing!
What if a real Planet of the Apes were discovered? How would that effect you? What would this planet be like? Suppose this planet of the apes were like the one in the movies and would you be alarmed? How about a trip there? Imagine, the past, present & future earth in the same solar system/Milky Way Galaxy.
How do YOU think the future role of monkeys/apes will change if they learn ASL? And how would it affect us? PS: no stealing from "planet of the apes".
Why am I hearing that humans ancestors are gorillas, apes, and monkeys? I keep hearing this on the discovery and history channel they say that humans and apes and gorilla and moneys are alike, I still don't understand what do humans and them have in common, if anyone knows tell me all you know.
where can I find a zoo that has great apes within 200 miles of NYC? Hi, I am an avid great ape enthusiast (Chimps, Bonobos, Orangutans, and Gorillas), and I would love to actually see some of these apes in person, specifically chimps. I live in the NYC area, and the only apes around here are gorillas, at the bronx zoo. Where can I find a zoo with chimps and/or orangutans in NY, NJ, CT, PA, or MD?
What gives humans the ability to talk and not apes? As apes are the closest creature to a human why can't they 'talk'? Parrots can, so what do humans and parrots have that apes don't? baz: I do not think that humans are more intelligent etc. When I say 'talk' I mean the way a human 'talks'. All animals can 'talk' in there own way, by useing there voice by mieowing, barking, growling, purring, quacking etc and by useing body language. My question basically is why can't apes )being our (humans) closest relitive) not be able to speak the way we do? What is different about human beings that gives us this ability?
How did the scientist know that there were animals plants and apes 4 million years ago? how the scientist know about animals, apes, and plants etc that were 10 million years ago?

Evolutionist say we evolve from apes, now they say we came from an apelike ancestor. Why keep changing theories? Evolutionist say we evolved into apes, now they say we share a common apelike ancestor with apes probably because the "we evolved into apes" speech doesn't add up, it doesn't add up because apes are still around. Do evolutionists know what evolving is? evolution sounds fishy.

What species of mammals are closest genetically to human beings after the great apes and other primates? As I understand it humans are most closely related to chimpanzees and then gorillas, orang utangs, gibbons, baboons, monkeys, lemurs and other small primates in more or less that order. In the mammalian genetic framework what comes next? After primates what is the relationship to say, rodents, canids, felines etc...Has a genetic-dna family tree of mammals been constructed? do white people think us africans look like apes? I am not trying to start an internet argument, but everywhere i look i hear an African being compared to an ape. Historically it has been taught that white is the more attractive human being while broad noses and lips are the least desired. Melan is a rich substance that protects against the sun and gives us the beautiful black complexion. "Nappy" hair is also a substance that plays a protective role against lice. Apes have straight hair.

If apes evolved into humans, would it be possible for marine creatures to evolve into new humans when flooded? Like, when Global Warming floods the world, therefore wiping us out (or most of us anyways) would the surviving creatures evolve into a new, maybe even better, type of animal that will take over the world? Right, as in something that can massively reproduce, and fast?
should I take a third year of spanish or APES? If I took APES I could get an AP national honors award, but if I took spanish, that would give me 3 consecutive years of spanish. Which should I take? I should add that APES would probably be easier for me than spanish and the only problem is what colleges want to see more- 3 years of spanish (I could take spanish senior year anyways) or an AP national honor award.
