How would you rate a 1999 / 2000 Saturn in terms of reliability? I'm driving a mid-90s Toyota Corolla that pretty much tells me every morning and evening - "Please retire me". (although it has been a good little car) and came for under $2500. I'm torn between this desire to get an American car or play it safe with an import, and have a budget under 6-7K. I've heard enough to stay away from the older Ford models. But how about a Pontiac, Saturn or a Chevy or a Dodge/Chrysler or a Mercury? Any experiences will be welcome?
